People photography includes maternity, newborn, family shoots, and everything in-between. People photography captures those special life moments to share and cherish with family and friends.

Taking a documentary-style approach to my shoots, my people sessions capture you and your family authentically, avoiding posed and rigid images. My sessions are comfortable, relaxed and most of all lots of fun. 

Where possible, I utilise natural light. This creates beautiful images that are genuine and warm, and when preparing for a shoot I’ll work closely with you to ensure the location and time of day suit your family or occasion.

Here’s what to expect when preparing for your shoot:

1. Location – The location can really change the mood of your shoot. In-home shoots can be more nostalgic, whereas an outdoor shoot can feel more energetic and vibrant. We will work closely together to discover the style of shoot you’re looking for.

2. Getting to know you – I’ll be in touch with lots of information to prepare you for your shoot and whilst on location I’ll spend a little time getting to know you before we start - this helps everyone feel more relaxed and more natural in front of the camera.

3. Lighting – If shooting at home, consider the lighting throughout the day with windows and blinds open and overhead lighting turned off. Is there a special nook in your home which captures the morning or afternoon light perfectly?

4. Outfit – Being comfortable is always best, and looking and feeling like yourself is first and foremost. I’ll work with you to discuss colours and textures based on the type of session.

5. Your photos – The exciting part! A few short weeks after your shoot you’ll receive a gallery with your images ready to download. With a broad range of print options available we’ll discuss getting those photos on your wall or in a beautifully curated photo book ready to share with loved ones.
